This Epiphany Cantata is often performed as a congregational participation event. Unlike the dreaded Christmas pagent, the parts here are simple, mostly walk on, and non-speaking. Each character enters holding a candle, as the narrator describes their place in the Epiphany story. Parts include Mary and Joseph, the Apostles and the Three Wise Men. The Congregation is asked to participate by singing several hymns. At the conclusion of the Pageant, the light is passed to the congregation as candles are lit. A very beautiful and different was to celebrate Epiphany.
